Sweepers are swept

The Diamondbacks must now know how bad the Cubs felt when they got swept in three games. No, the Diamondbacks should feel worse since they were just swept by the Rockies in four games. The Rockies are playing like a team on a mission. I always like to root for a team that’s never won it before, but the Rockies just haven’t been around long enough (only 15 years) to feel sorry for. It’s not as bad as when the Diamondbacks or Marlins first won, after only existing for 4 and 5 years, respectively. All the same, I’m rooting for the Indians, who have a 59 year championship drought going.

I was thrilled to see TBS get nearly as little for it’s money as possible. They only got to broadcast one game over the minimum, given the 3-0 Diamondback/Cubs series, 3-0 Rockies/Phillies series, 3-0 Red Sox/Angels series, 3-1 Indians/Yankees series and 4-0 Rockies/Diamondback series. Couldn’t happen to a more thoughtful network.

Fox is carrying the current Indians/Red Sox series and will also get the World Series. They can’t be thrilled with the possibility of an Indians/Rockies series, but at least I won’t mind either team winning. I’d just like to end the season watching some exciting ballgames.
